Josephine Louise Parham Ridley, a retired elementary school teacher, is a graduate of Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee ( B.A.) and Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee (M.A.). She was a career educator: first in Alamo, Tennessee; then at home preparing her children for education; and finally in Metro Nashville Public Schools for thirty-one years as a teacher of Remedial Math, Remedial Reading (N.E.I.P. project), and in administration, as an education consultant. At the time of this publication, Mrs. Ridley had been an active member of the Kayne Avenue Baptist Church for thirty-one years, later joining the Hillcrest Seventh-Day Adventist Church on profession of faith.
